AC Installation and Replacement in Summerlin, Anthem, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Las Vegas

Forecast Heating, Cooling, and Refrigeration is ready to help with all of your air conditioning needs, whether you need to replace an existing unit or install an entirely new system.  New units are more energy-efficient, which will save money on monthly utility bills.  Our trained experts will service your home throughout the Summerlin, Anthem, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Las Vegas area.

Every air conditioning installation job begins with determining exactly how much cooling capacity your home requires.  When incorrectly calibrated, a system is less efficient and prone to failure.  We always perform our own load calculations by taking the square footage of your home, the amount and type of insulation used, as well as other factors into account when computing the required cooling capacity to find a system that will meet your home’s air conditioning needs. Once a system has been chosen, we will get your new air conditioner up and running as quickly as possible.

Great service starts with great contractors! All of our employees use the latest techniques and best practices when installing air conditioning systems. We also hold all of our employees to a high standard of professionalism.  Treating you and your home with respect is the foundation of our business practices, and leaving your home at least as clean as when we arrive is a priority.  Customer satisfaction and excellent service is our goal at every stage of the installation process!

Is it time to replace your Air Conditioner?

Most air conditioning systems have a life expectancy of 10 to 20 years.  But remember, as the unit gets older, its ability to perform efficiently decreases with age.  Older units get noisier and need repairs more often, leaving you with a choice of a new unit or the overhaul of the existing unit.  If your unit is over ten years old, air conditioning technology has dramatically improved.  Newer units are more energy-efficient and will save money on monthly utility bills.  We can provide in-home estimates for the cost of a new system and estimate the savings from a more modern, more efficient system.

Factors to consider when purchasing an Air Conditioner:

Air Conditioner Size:

This size of the room or home being cooled will determine the cooling capacity required from the air conditioner.  Determining the proper size is very important for efficient air conditioning.  Bigger is not necessarily better!

Based on size alone, an air conditioner generally needs 10 Btu for each square foot of living space.  Other factors to consider include room height, local climate, and shading of the room or house.  You must also determine whether your home’s existing electrical system can meet the unit’s power requirements.

Air Conditioner Type:

The best part about hiring us is the expertise that our company brings when using our technology and tools to help you decide the best possible system for your home.  With our help, this complicated decision becomes easier to make the best choice based on your current ductwork, insulations, and other factors specific to your home.

Air Conditioner Efficiency:

An air conditioner’s efficiency is measured by the energy efficiency ratio (EER).  The EER is the ratio of the cooling capacity (in British thermal units [BTU] per hour) to the power input (in watts).  The higher the EER rating, the more efficient the air conditioner.  Look for the energy star label when buying a new air conditioning unit.

SEER Rating:

SEER (seasonal energy efficiency rating) is a measurement used to describe the efficient use of energy by air conditioners.  This measurement is defined and regulated by the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute.  It is measured in BTUs (British thermal units) per watt per hour of electric energy used in a cooling season (summer months).
